## Target
Staff Support Tooling Engineer at Docker, Inc · United States

## Profile
I build across the boundary between product code and the systems that keep it running. That means making useful interfaces, codifying deployment, improving observability, and staying accountable for the handoff from implementation to dependable production behavior.

## Relevant strengths
- Platform engineering and operations
- Data systems and reliability
- Applied AI and automation
- Full-stack product engineering
- Technical leadership and collaboration

## Relevant experience
- **Datacenter and platform operations:** Led end-to-end technical readiness and infrastructure remediation for annual SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits under SSAE 18 at a 30,000-square-foot commercial data center in Fort Collins serving enterprise clients, maintaining compliance. Served as the primary technical point of contact for external auditors, translating infrastructure architecture, access controls, and failover protocols into audit artifacts. Owned disaster recovery and backup verification protocols, including automated testing schedules, and drafted and enforced engineering SOPs aligned with audit control objectives; the organization passed every year I led the process. Led the NOC team and served as the primary on-call engineer for escalations while designing and managing monitoring systems. Modernized workloads into Docker, Swarm, and Kubernetes platforms and codified deployment with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD. Migrated legacy monitoring from Nagios to Zabbix through a multi-step cutover that included a severely unhealthy legacy database environment costing roughly $10,000 per month in AWS charges.
- **End-to-end product platform:** Designed and built a Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and containerized platform spanning CRM, support, scheduling, meetings, billing, analytics, infrastructure telemetry, and AI-assisted workflows.
- **Replayable and independently verifiable systems:** Built deterministic engines and product workflows with fixed ticks, replayable inputs, checkpoint validation, typed APIs, and explicit human-review boundaries.
- **Applied AI inside real products:** Builds AI into product workflows through retrieval, structured outputs, classification, natural-language interfaces, orchestration, evaluation, and human review while keeping architecture and product judgment explicit.

## Focus for this application
The strongest match is practical ownership: understand the operator or developer problem, ship the tool, and leave the system more observable and reliable.
